From The Backgammon Book, by Oswald Jacoby and John R. Crawford

White to play 2-1.

You would seem to have no worries, and without paying any attention to what may happen next, you move the man on the black twelve point to your eleven point and one man on your six point to your five point. Then you roll double 6 — and you are forced to leave a blot on your six point. Could you have avoided this? Easily. In fact, you found the only way to get yourself into trouble. Any other play with that 2-1 would have left you absolutely safe.
