There is only one possible way to play this throw; it’s not a particularly good move but you have no choice. You move two men from B12 to W3.

Because you now have fewer alternatives with which to build a blocking board, you are not in as good a situation to opt for a back game, and your strategy after this opening should be more geared to a running game. I don’t like to have this forced on me, but you can’t fight the dice.
