Ballard & Weaver: Backgammon Openings Book A From:   Neil Kazaross Address:   neilkaz@earthlink.net Date:   27 January 2005 Subject:   Looked at an advance copy of Weaver/Nack's book Forum:   GammOnLine Paul Weaver is in town and he showed me the first volume of the opening play book that he and Nack are writing. I was quite impressed by the organization and detail and the amount of effort that has gone into it. .. neilkaz .. I happened to talk to Paul today, and there is still some more work to be done. He didn't give me an estimated publication date, but he said it will be put out, eventually. Note: the first book will cover only about 1/3 of the possible openings. There will eventually be three volumes to cover all the possible openings. The books will cover the first and second rolls comprehensively, and there is considerably information about various 3rd roll situations. Gregg C.
