Subject:   Which player is play 0 in a GNU rollout setup?
Forum:   GammOnLine

I'm trying to do a rollout with different skilled play for each
side and need to know which player is player 0 and player 1.

Thx, in advance ..neilkaz..

Player 0 is the player on the "other side" of the board.

Yes, it's right as happy says. Player 0 is the top player and
player 1 is the buttom player.

Notice how this fact also have some influence on other things in
GNU Backgammon.

  * In the game record list player 0's moves are to the left
and player 1's moves are to the right.
  * At the score and info area below the board it's player 0 to
the left and player 1 to the right.
  * If you're using the manual dice in the opening roll, player
0's die is to the left and player 1's die to the right. (Now
you can make the right opening roll!)
  * In the statistics, player 0's stats comes to the left, and
player 1's stats are shown to the right column.

... and so on. Anywhere in the program where both players are
listed its player 0 to the left and player 1 to the right. (and
you read left to right.) If there is some informations about
both players that's displayed above each other, player 0 will be
above player 1.
