If you hit an opposing checker, you lose immediately. It's a priming game, and if it were played enough it could probably be figured out, but it's got novelty value and is definitely interesting. (At least I think so.) Cliff Kilt  writes: No Hit is a very highly skilled variant of backgammon, it can require a lot of thought, although beginners love the excitement and novelty. Its basic concepts are easily picked up, but requires a lot of study to play consistently well. It will certainly appeal those players (like me) that detest spending a large part of an ordinary backgammon game "on the bar". It has its own set of strategys, and has a very distinctive "defence" mode, which is an extremely powerful method to win a game. I loved this variation so much that I created my own league that specialises in it, and though small, has a dedicated band of fun loving addicts.
