From Backgammon for Blood, by Bruce Becker

White to play 3-2.

For the 3-2 move, you should bring two men from B12 to the W10 and W11 points.

There are only seven ways in which your opponent can hit one of your blots (5-4, 4-5, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4, 4-6, and 3-3); if he does hit you with the 3-3 throw it obviously destroys a strong move he could otherwise make. And, should neither blot be hit, you then can make one good point or another with any throw except a 5-4! You can’t ask for more; it’s a very good move for a mediocre throw.
